Acupuncture and Cosmetic Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the use of needles (each thinner than a human hair). By inserting the needle at a known depth (usually just below the surface of the skin), a healing response can be triggered in the brain. Over thousands of years the body has been mapped in order to give an atlas of points and the responses that they produce.

A session can be anywhere from 20-60 minutes dependent upon the condition being treated. With 4 to 10 sessions normally being required for chronic conditions.

The beauty of acupuncture (and Chinese medicine) is that it can be incorporated into a combined treatment, so that the body receives relief on multiple fascial layers. A regular treatment for back pain and sciatica can usually involve Tui Na, deep tissue massage, acupuncture and cupping in one session, with each therapy triggering a healing response on a different level.

For the needle phobic amongst you, medical magnets can also be used, and I am constantly incorporating new developments from around the world to offer healing alternatives.

As one of the four pillars of Chinese medicine, acupuncture has been used for most of the issues that have always affected humanity, from emotional imbalances, injuries to chronic pain conditions. It works well as a standalone therapy, or in combination with any of the other therapies that I offer.

Cosmetic acupuncture is the latest go to for celebrities looking for facial enhancement. It can be combined with other procedures and is followed by cutting edge cosmeceutical products.
